Travel Vaccinations

The practice nurses operate a regular travel clinic.  Your travel consultation involves checking what vaccinations you may need for the type of holiday that you are going on in relation to your current health / medication; ensuring that there are no contra-indications.

If you are going abroad on business or holiday you should complete the travel questionnaire below and return it to the surgery two weeks before you see the nurse which should be approximately eight weeks before you travel.  Some vaccines need to be ordered and sufficient time needs to be allowed to ensure the vaccines are fully operational prior to your trip.

There may be a private prescription to pay for some medication as it is not covered by the NHS.  There may also be a charge for some vaccinations - see our private fees section. Unfortunately, prescriptions and vaccinations will not be given if you do not have the means to pay.
